Nicole had her first day off the heavy medication
she was on since she was born. She was having a tough time as they
are adjusting to the right oral dose of medicine to continue to wean
her off the medicine.
On the brighter side, Lorraine, Nicole and myself
spent most of the day in a "family room" (similar to a
hotel room in the hosp.) where Nicole was hooked up to oxygen only
and this was the first time we were alone as a family!
From the new pix you will see some of the
highlights.
Nicole also found great comfort in the swing, she
really gets a quick out of it and it mellows her!
Tonite, she was moved from the level 3 NICU to
level 2 NICU (less monitoring and quieter), a definite step forward.
She continues to persist in breast feeding but
will probably be a few days before she gets the hang of it yet.
Still probably has about a week before coming home
We
will keep you posted. I have added a new photo
album of the newest pix so you do not have to reload all the old
one's everytime, but of course feel free to browse either album. The
first original one Nicole, contains all the pix from up until she
was extubated. In nicole2, will contain all the new pix. Click
